Elding - Adventure at sea

Elding Whale Watching was founded in May 2000. The crew and owners are always looking for ways to improve the quality of the tours, both by improvement on the boats and hiring and training members of the crew.

Whale watching tours are scheduled from the old harbour in Reykjavik from the beginning of April through to the end of October. Our tours cover the south east and south west part of Faxafloi bay.

Whales most frequently seen on tours with Elding are the Minke whalesHumpback whales, Dolphins and Porpoises, sometimes Orcas, Fin-, Sei- and Blue whales can be seen. In these areas we see many different species of seabirds such as the gannet, puffin, guillemot razorbill, cormorant, gulls, kittiwake, terns and many more.
