Hi to everyone at Elding - just a brief thank you for an amazing day! My family didn't know what to expect but we were all extremely impressed with the trip from start to finish, the friendly welcome (including a box of tempting chocs in the ticket office - ah well, it was Christmas!), the extremely warm overalls we were all given to wear, and the very reasonably priced bar. Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention the star attraction of the day - the very obliging humpback whale! It really was a "peak" moment for me to see it, at first I didnt think I'd get more than a tiny glimpse as everyone rushed to one place to look and I was near the back (and not that well vertically endowed). The whale obviously wanted to play fair with everyone and carried on swimming around, waving it's flippers and tail in the air and eventually I'm sure everyone on board got to see the awe-inspiring creature several times. Magic!! I dont want to make the white-nosed dolphins feel left out - they were just as beautiful and the second school we saw were out to entertain us, and swam around the whale to make sure it didnt get all the attention (and quite rightly so!). One swam under the boat right underneath where I was standing at the rail, and I saw it's black and white markings really close up.

I didnt manage to capture any of the marine life on my camera (mobile phone variety!) but I got a nice shot of the sun sinking towards the horizon which you're welcome to use.

Thanks again to everyone at Elding who makes such amazing encounters with nature possible, that trip was one of the most amazing experiences that I and the rest of my family have ever been lucky enough to enjoy. Unforgettable!

With this e-mail I would like to thank you and your team for the great whale-watching excursion that I had on 21th of october. The service was excelent and the hot chocolade delicious! To bad that we didn't see more whales, but better luck next time. I really loved Iceland and it's nature. Now I must return to my studies, but who knowes untill the next time.

I was on the tour today and it was the last thing we did before flying home to the UK. It was a fantastic trip out and we were very lucky to see some great minke whales feeding. We were on the 9am tour and it is great that the diary so accurately reflects what happened, we started off not sure if we would see anything and then had a great show from them as they surfaced time and again. Your whale spotting radar and the spotter who gave us the directions to the best ‘seeing’ were great and the Captain was able to rotate the boat to get the best views making it a great last day for us in Iceland. My recommendation for others is to go and see the whales with Elding – but wrap up warmly!!

I just wanted to thank you all for the nice whale watching trip I had on Friday the 12th of June. We saw two Humpback whales and some Minke whales of which one was very playful. It was great to watch. The crew was very friendly and helpful and made it a very interesting experience, with lots of information on the different whales. So thank you very much for that. I enjoyed it very much and will certainly recommend this tour to friends.
Keep up the good work and maybe I'll see you on another trip to Reykjavik!
