Hello Elding team;

Thanks for the nice and very informative trip last week (15. Jan.).
Unfortunately we didn't see whales, but a lot of nice birds and the
coast of Iceland. That was also an adventure. To offer complimentary
tickes is a great service. Thank you very much! I'm afrait that the
weather was not good enought for another chance the last days of our
vacation. And now what a pity...every day you see Orcas and Humpback
whales! :-) Good on you and all your guests.
I think we'll try it again next year during a next trip to Iceland.

05.01.2012 Fantastic tour
Hi all at Elding,

I just wanted to thank you all for our fantastic tour on 2nd January 2012. We decided to go whale watching at the last minute and didn't expect to see anything at all but the sightings we got of the dolphins and orca whales were amazing! I can't believe how close they got to the boat!

I apologise for not catching her name but our guide was also brilliant - she was really informative about what we were seeing and the general background of the marine environment in Iceland.

I don't think I'll ever get as close to a whale (let alone a minke) as we did on the 10th. Certainly it wouldn't happen in Australia where I've done whale watching before.
Please pass on my compliments to Harpa, who led the tour on the 10th, too. Her sheer enthusiasm for her job shone through, and made even the points when we were watching and waiting hopefully a lot more interesting than they could have been. As for when the whale appeared dead ahead and remarkably close, it was clear from her shouts that nobody had expected anything like that. A sure-fire way to make an already memorable experience a much more exciting one.

Hello to you all in Iceland,
 
My husband, Donald Fuller, and I want to thank you all again for a wonderful time aboard the Elding. We went in mid-July. Capt. Albert was great. Let my husband sit up with him so he could plug in his oxygen machine. What a great time.
 
I wrote an article about our trip for an online magazine called Special Living (http://www.specialiving.com/magazines/Fall_2011/index.html.) I included Elding in the story.
 
Thanks again, and thanks to Albert. He and the crew were tremendous!!!

22.09.2011 Langskemmtilegasta skólaferðin
Hæ,
Mér fannst þetta langskemmtilegasta skólaferð sem ég hef farið í!! :-) Við sáum fullt af hvölum td hrefnu sem er uppáhalds hvalurinn minn :-) svo sáum við stökkvandi höfrunga sem var frábært, þeir eru svo krúttlegir.
 
Mig langar að fara aftur í hvalaskoðun með pabba mínum því hann verður aldrei sjóveikur, ég var heldur ekki sjóveik kannski vegna þess að afi minn var skipstjóri :-)

22.09.2011 Ölduselsskóli - Frábær ferð

Kæra Eldingarfólk.

 

Bestu þakkir fyrir að láta þessa ferð verða að veruleika, hefðum ekki komist nema með ykkar rausnarlega framlagi.

 

Ferðin var í einu og öllu alveg FRÁBÆR. Við höfum aldrei séð svona marga hvali í námsferðunum og leiðsagnakonan var alveg SÚPER, hún náði svo vel til krakkanna og okkarJ, við gefum henni sem og ykkur öllum 11+ í einkunn fyrir þessa ferð. Það er mjög mikilvægt fyrir okkur að komast í ferðir sem þessar með nemendur okkar því þá geta þeir samsamað það sem þeir hafa verið að læra við raunveruleikann.

 

Þessi ferð mun lifa lengi í minningarbankanum og hlökkum við mikið til í að koma til ykkar aftur.

I just wanted to send a note of thanks.  We had the most amazing tour with you this past Saturday!  Your staff were so knowledgeable and lovely to talk with.  The whales and the weather cooperated beautifully.  We saw too many whales to count that day under a bright, sunlit sky.  Thank you for a wonderful morning and an experience that I, my husband, and my three year old son will never forget!  Also, please accept our gratitude to Christian, who treated my son with such special care.   Attached is a picture of my very content little boy, snuggled in the blanket Christian not only provided, but also wrapped him in securely.  We couldn't have asked for a better morning!

14.04.2011 Fantastic afternoon

Dear friends, On 1 April, we bought two tickets for the afternoon boat. We were looking forward to it. Luckily it was still nice weather. The conversation came coincidentally on the year before that we had little luck at the sight of whales. It was though a very nice trip. The friendly young lady who we bought the tickets, gave us our money back immediately and the surprise of our faces must have been read. They could easily check under our name that we indeed had seen no whales and the company was satisfied customer base, so we were free this time. And it was a fantastic afternoon! Dolphins and two whales. On to next year with these friendly people. Thanks a lot.

Dear María, Rannveig & Team!

On Wednesday, 11.08.10, we went with you to the whale watching tour. We enjoyed the time on both boats. The excellent tour on the one, the delicious waffles on the other.

Thank you so much, to bring us the whales a little closer. A special compliment to the moderator for her emotional announce.

Hey Elding crew,

I did the whale watching tour with you at the 21st of July 2010 and it was so incredible:-)
After a stop at Lundey the search for the whales begun. And finally, after a very long search, there was this beautiful minke whale. It was so close to the boat- fantastic! It has been a very nice sighting after the long search and I'd like to thank you for your patience and that you spent 30minutes longer at the water than normal:-D

I will definitely come back and do another trip with you.
