Last years sightings were very good in the bay Faxaflói compared to other whale watching areas and 96,75% of our passengers had successful whale watching tours with Elding against 98,13% the year before.

We saw less of the humpback whales in 2005 than in 2004 as shown on the two column charts 12,3% compared to 17,9% but last year. We usually see the humpback whales from around April 20th till end of August but last year we saw humpback whales in October for the first time since we started our tours from Reykjavik.

Although the weather was worse on average sightings of other species were very similar to sightings in 2004.
