NATURE CENTER - WHALE WATCHING CENTRE
Free entry for all our passengers!
In the summer of 2004, Hafsulan Whale Watching opened a "floating Exhibition Centre" at Reykjavik's Harbour. In the centre we provide our passengers a basic knowledge about the biology of whales in Faxaflói bay. In the centre there are videos of whales and videoclips from our tours.
The Exhibition Centre is open all day long when we organize scheduled tours (April-October) and is an ideal stopover before going on a Whale Watching tour.
In the centre includes a café and a souvenir shop.
The Exhibition Centre is located in an old capelin fishing vessel, “Fífill” which stands in the harbour.
The vessel was purchased by the WWC in November 2003 to increase the service for our passengers and guests, with an exhibition centre or information centre on whales and seabirds and to make a more comfortable entrance for our passengers as well as keeping the company’s office.
