Report from Elding: Tonight marked our last tour for the season, so we set sail with excitement, willing to end with a bang! The weather forecast predicted a clearance in the clouds above our cruising area, so everything looked fine. From the beginning of the tour we could see stars there and there, so our hopes went up. For the first third of our attributed time, the sky was still pretty bright, and as it got darker, the hole in the clouds closed up a little bit. After waiting for a while we noticed a shimmer on the right inside of the boat, some weak activity of northern lights was happening! We kept looking that direction, but alas they quickly faded away: As we were making our way back toward Reykjavik, the light came back slightly brighter and covered a larger area in the sky, but sadly they didn't provide a satisfactory show so we offered everyone complimentary tickets. See you in September!
