The humpback whales were still many out at sea: we encountered again some we spotted in the morning and afternoon, and all and all we had more than 5 of them, some of which were feeding in the same spot with the white-beaked dolphins!

Again we left from Grindavík harbour, and sailed a similar route as at 13:00. This time we were much luckier! We spotted a Minke whale on the way to the Krísuvíkurberg cliff, but we soon lost it. On the way back from to the harbour after turning the boat around, we sp

Such a unique tour this late afternoon: not only the sea was still calm, but the whales displayed really much: one minke whale was jumping in front of us, less than 100 m for so many times that I forgot the exact number.. jumping, breaching, even in belly up! And even the hu

This afternoon as well we spotted some minke whales. The first one seemed to be avoiding the boat. Therefore we left it after a little while. The second one was more fun to watch until it suddenly went down for a long long deep dive and wa

We found 3 or 4 Minke whale individuals, which was of course great. Some of our passengers spotted some huge splashes out in the distance, so we decided that we would go and investigate what was causing the splashes, although this meant we would be late. A young Humpback wha
