Report from Eldey: Tonight we were expecting a Kp index of 2 out of 9, and the skies couldn't be clearer! The moon was not visible, so everywhere around was pitch black, making the stars shine more than ever. What a beautiful night we had right at the start, only with these conditions. About half an hour later, we spotted the first bit of light of the night, but it faded away shortly. So we waited for a bit more and then, a bit more of light, that again... faded away after a couple of minutes. But we kept our hopes high, always, which was good because not too long after, BAM! We had amazing Northern lights! They started as a gigantic and long green arch coming from Esja and got stronger and stronger. Then, the arch became two, and we were all amazed by these lights in front of us! Even with the camera, we could see a bit of red on top of it. What an amazing night it was!
