Tour at 17:00
This time the wind had picked up a little bit, but the sea was still nice and calm. We went out to the same area as the previous two trips, but unfortunately there wasn't much life out there. We sailed on a bit and spotted quite a few Minke whales, usually just surfacing once, being very elusive. Towards the end of the trip we were able to observe one individual quite closely, which was very nice :)

Report from Hafsúlan: Again a lovely tour in great weather. We soon spotted a group of Harbour porpoises and then found the Minke whale feeding grounds again. Again lots of Minke whales often surfacing very close to us. Another excellent tour today.
Report from Elding: We too had an excellent tour! Once out in Faxaflói bay we were surrounded by lots of minke whales. At least four of them surfaced close to the boat several times. Two white-beaked dolphins visited us, too!

Report from Elding: It´s a beautiful day today, the sea is calm and the sun is shining. We started in Akurey, the puffin island, and enjoyed the view of the cute birds. When we headed out on Faxaflói bay, the first thing we saw was a group of white beaked dolphins. They were approx. 7 animals in the group, swimming around the boat and looking beautiful. Soon there after we spotted a big flock of feeding birds in the distance. When we got closer we saw that there were a lot of minke whales in the area and they surfaced all around the boat, some far away and others closer. We estimate that there was at least 30 individuals in this area. At one point we were lucky enough to spot a lunge feeding minke whale at the surface, that was a great sight! It was a nice tour :)
Report from Hafsúlan: We set off in the beautiful weather and soon found a group of Harbour porpoises, then shortly a group of white beaked dolphins. We reached the feeding grounds and there were many Minke whales around! Even one calf that seemed very curious and surfaced often almost touching the boat. The passengers were very pleased, it was a really great tour in excellent weather!
