CLASSIC WHALE WATCHING | 09:00

Report from Hafsula: This morning we sailed out onto our gorgeous and sunny bay! There was a bit of swell and when we turned the corner also some wind! After a bit of sailing we spotted a pod of 6 white beaked dolphins! This pod was quite calm and travelling next to us. They were a bit tricky to spot so when it was clear they did not want to play we continued further out. We spotted one mystery blow, probably of a minke whale, but this individual also stayed on the elusive side and we werent able to find it again. Just as we were going to continue we were joined by 3 more dolphins! This pod was much more active and looked like they were surfing the waves next to us! We watched on but once they moved on so did we. After all that we spotted anther blow, this time much bigger and saw one of a humpback whale! This whale was taking fairly long dives but we did get to see one beautiful fluke dive! In the end the crew decided to offer complimentary tickets as all the encounters were short-lived. This way everyone can return for free and see they bay in her full glory on another day!

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: Our afternoon started with sunny skies, a bit of wind and some waves with white caps. We sailed out to the bay to try to find some whales and dolphins. We travelled directly to the area where we spotted a whale during the morning tour with the hope of finding it once more! After sailing for 40 minutes we heard the news that a humpback whale was in the surroundings. And out of nowhere ... a breach!!! Then very rapidly a tail slap! Amazing! We continued sporting the whale in the waves, resurfacing  2 a 3 times and then going for a deeper dive! After about half an hour observing this whale we decided to return to shore and enjoyed the rest of the journey.
