CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 09:00

Report from Hafsulan: We left the harbour this morning with the wind in our backs and the sun on our faces. After a little search we spotted the splashes of a pod of white beaked dolphins in the distance and we could even see leaping out the water! A little bit further we eventually spotted the blows of a humpback whale. We were able to spend some time with this individual and getting some nice close looks. Shortly after we left the humpback, we saw another pod of dolphins closer to us and we could stick around with them for a while. Eventually they got close enough for us to see them passing by underneath the surface. After this encounter we headed back to port, but not before getting a glimpse of a minke whale on our side as well. All in all, we had a great morning out at sea.

CLASSIC WHALE TOUR | 13:00

Report from Hafsúlan: The afternoon started with sunny clear skies and amazing conditions to sail out to the ocean! We enjoyed the ride and search in the horizon for any sign of whales! After about half an hour we saw some movement in the water and a flock of birds flying around! we approach it carefully and found a minke whale!!! We watch the minke diving a couple of times not far from the boat until eventually disappearing after a deeper dive. We decided to continue our search and later got the news that a blow was sighted further south! We sailed rappidly to the region and waited patiently... Then a humpback whale!! We saw the whale resurfacing multiple times and even a beautiful fluke! But soon was time to return to harbour.
