Tour at 17:00

We headed again to the same area as we were in on the earlier trips today. We found about 5 Minke whales and were able to observe one of them very closely. There were still thousands of birds feeding in the area. Obviously a lot of food for the birds and whales here these days!

Tour at 13:00

Like this morning we had very good luck. We spotted easily ten minke whales during the whole tour. We always watched one for a little while and then found another one soon after. We saw a lot of birds feeding which showed us that there is a lot of food. And indeed three of the minke whales were lounge feeding, which we don't see very often -- only if there is a lot of food near the surface.

We were lucky on this trip. We soon spotted a Minke whale and came to an area where there were thousands of birds feeding. We spotted about 8 Minke whales in this area, and a little bit later we saw a big blow in the distance. When we came closer we found 2 Humpback whales, and were able to observe one of them very closely.
